Rest in Peace, Jonas Bevacqua

I'd like to take a moment to say farewell to a man who literally made the "streetwear" scene what it is today, Jonas Bevacqua.  I don't know him personally but I appreciate the body of work that he's managed to accomplish in his lifetime as the creative mind behind the clothing brand LRG.  He took a lot of flack for bringing what used to be exclusive mainstream but you simply have to admire his drive and business model.  At the end of the day, dude knew how to make a dollar.  In light of his recent passing, I find it sickening how people automatically ask "How did he die?"  Could there be a stupider fucking question you could ask?  What the hell does it matter how someone dies, the fact of the matter is that they've passed on.  Have some respect.

  1. From nothing to something. If you've read what he's gone thru in life to build the empire that is LRG, he is truly an inspiration to me and many others. I've only had one piece of LRG clothing in my life and it was shirt. Bought it back in 98 or 99 when I went to TRUE. I remember the simplicity of the shirt and that's what I liked about it. Fast forward to 2006/07 and LRG is/was everywhere from kloop to Macy's. The brand blew up! The clothing didn't really appeal to me but I respect his design process, vision, and drive. RIP...
